I had been eager to get my hands on this foundation to test it out for quite some time. The packaging of it is gorgeous and it has a pump! What more could I ask for? Also, its claims are exactly what I look for in a foundation, luminous healthy skin. Finally, I got to try it out, Lets go over my thoughts and experience for this product...
Packaging
5/5
The packaging on this foundation is absolutely beautiful. A lovely glass bottle and A PUMP! The pump is quality as well! It works awesome.
Shade Selection
5/5
It is no surprise the L'Oreal does an awesome job at providing a large selection of shades in for their true match collection. They have warms, cools, and neutrals that go by your skins natural undertones. They have a grand total of 14 shades to chose from. I am a W1-2 Porcelain Ivory.
Coverage
3/5
The coverage with this foundation was a light-medium coverage. I did not find this foundation to be very build-able. I applied two thin layers to achieve a somewhat medium coverage. After that it starts to cake up and really accentuate dry patches and settle into fine lines.
Finish
3/5
The finish of the foundation is a satin/luminous finish. It looks beautiful from far away, but up close you can really see how this foundation settles into pores and fine lines. It also accentuated some of my dry patches which I found strange because I heard how this foundation works wonders for dry skin.
Longevity
2/5
One thing I found with this foundation is that it does not set well. It just wipes right off and has little holding power. It breaks down within in the first 2-3 hours. I tried wearing it for 8 hours, by the end of the night it was literally gone. I found barely a trace of it on my makeup wipe.
Price
This foundation is on the pricier side of drugstore foundations. Ranging from 11-13 dollars.
Overall
3/5
This foundation in my experience was kind of a bust. The packaging was great. It looks very nice first hour or two of application. After that though, it goes down hill. I have heard mixed reviews about this foundation so it might have just not worked for me. I will probably never repurchase this foundation.
Stay You. Stay Pretty
